PODCASTING for TEACHERS
(February 26, 2008 in Second Life at the Bookhenge, NC STATE WOLFLANDS)This was our first effort to present in Second Life and provide the Internet radio and chat for real life. We'd really appreciate feedback on the content, the delivery, and the technology. Just email your thoughts to Cris at ccrissma@dpi.state.nc.us. Thanks in advance. We'll use your feedback as we plan our next event scheduled for March 31st with Frances Bradburn on Young Adult Literature and Intellectual Freedom.
ARCHIVED AUDIO (mp3-65mg-68minutes)
MONTAGE of SCHOOL PODCASTS (mp3-3.5mg)
APPLE PODCASTING SITE (really helpful)
PHOTOSTORY by Microsoft (free)
Test Photostory (Mid Band-3.5mg)
Windows Media File (wmv)I downloaded the program, installed it and created this test clip in 40-minutes (jpegs and music were already archived). This is a useful FREE tool running on Windows-based PCs. The program is very easy to use once you have your audio connections set properly. This program outputs files in the wmv or Windows Media format which are uploadable to YouTube or TeacherTube.
